Before I say anything about MindPreview, I have to make sure that everyone knows what a mind map is. With that in mind, here’s a brief explanation: a mind map is a diagram that is used to visually organize information (ideas, tasks, and other things of the sort). The information is generally organized around a central or key concept.

Now that that’s out of the way, you need to know that MindPreview is a handy tool that can be used to create mind maps. It allows you to easily enter data, it provides support for multiple themes, it allows you to include photos and icons, to pick a custom background color or image, and to easily save your work.

MindPreview is available for multiple platforms. It is available for Microsoft’s Windows operating system, for Apple’s Mac OS X, and for Apple’s iOS mobile operating system. This means you can use MindPreview on your Windows PC, on your Mac, on your iPhone, and on your iPad.

MindPreview has a ribbon interface. This means that buttons for all the features and functions MindPreview has to offer are presented at the top, on a ribbon. As is usually the case with such interfaces, the ribbon can be hidden out of sight. As is usually the case with such an interface, several styles are available from a dropdown menu in the upper right hand corner.

Here are the elements you can play with when creating a mind map with MindPreview: create sibling and child nodes; enter custom text and custom images; access a nice collection of icons; several mind map themes are available; set a custom color for the background; several images are available for the background. When you’re done creating a mind map, you can easily save your work.

MindPreview lets you come up with interesting mind maps. You can blend together text, icons, images, custom backgrounds, and themes to come up with mind maps.

Pros

MindPreview is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and iOS. MindPreview has a ribbon interface that provides support for styles. You can mix together several elements to come up with mind maps: themes, images, text, icons, backgrounds.

Cons

None that I could think of.
